The View Road house is a spacious three storey, 600 square metre residence with semi detached three car garage, designed for a family on Auckland's North Shore. The exterior cladding is painted Gaboon plywood detailed in board and batten, recalling a seaside Cape Cod aesthetic. Painted cedar timber windows and large stacking sliding timber doors feature throughout the house. The cedar shingle roof is complimented with zinc gutters and spouting.

In the entry, timber board and batten carries through from the exterior cladding to interior panelling. The upper level stair landing opens out over the kitchen and a bank of motorised skylights above fill the two storey volume with natural light. Other interior finishes include extensive tongue and groove plywood batten ceilings and French Oak timber flooring with under floor heating.

Located adjacent to the kitchen via sliding doors a large outdoor dining patio features a solid concrete fireplace and bench seating. The pergola structure supports a clear glass roof with fixed panels of timber louvres. The in-ground swimming pool and cabana continues in the same material language with painted timber shutters and stone pool surround.
